Poisoned Pen Press

From #1 New York Times, USA Today, and internationally bestselling author Freida McFadden... It's late, and there's someone outside your door. She needs help. She'll kill to get it. In the middle of a storm, a girl appears on Casey's doorstep, obviously in need of help. She's young. She's alone. She's desperate. The girl is clearly running from something, but she won't say what. When Casey tries to learn more, she gets hostile. When Casey discovers disturbing diary entries and drawings in her meager backpack, she gets violent. This will be the longest night of Casey's life.

This week’s batch of bestsellers has quite a few new releases, which is a nice change. The biggest book of the moment is 107 Days by Kamala Harris, which is in the top ten of all five of the biggest bestseller lists. It is the “story of one of the wildest and most consequential presidential campaigns in American history.”

The Court of the Dead cover

One book you won’t see here that’s worth mentioning is The Court of the Dead: A Nico di Angelo Adventure by Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro. This is the newest book in the “World of Percy Jackson” and is a big seller, but because most outlets divide children’s books onto their own lists, it hasn’t made it onto this roundup.

This list continues to lack of diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers you should know about are The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai, Katabasis by R. F. Kuang, and All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks.

To get these numbers, we look at the New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover.
