Nothing is Everything web

Nothing and Everything is a poetic exploration of being human—messy, uncertain, and deeply interconnected. In this collection, Dr. Engin Ozertugrul trades structure for simplicity, using repetition and second-person narration to guide readers through fear, sadness, anger, and peace. His writing doesn’t seek perfection or answers—it invites reflection, grounded in raw emotion and quiet awareness. These poems don’t lean on romance or dogma but speak from the edges of consciousness, shaped by meditation, philosophy, and spiritual inquiry.

Drawing inspiration from Transcendental Meditation, Rumi, Jung, and others, Ozertugrul’s words echo timeless ideas through a personal lens. His approach is meditative and hypnotic, gently pushing readers to sit with life’s contradictions rather than solve them. For anyone drawn to mindfulness, spiritual growth, or simply the honest weight of being alive, this collection may feel less like reading poetry and more like listening to the soul think out loud.

Nothing And Everything

Why do I try so hard to win you?
Why does the sun dance with the moon
and light with the dark?
Why do you bring love and peace?
If hate and despair are all you bestow,
why do you always wash the joy with pain
and beauty with the beast?
Why do you give life
and take away with death?
Why do you give the intellect
and make yourself inscrutable?
They say it is a test
They say it is acceptance
They say it is a mystery
I say you are hiding behind the words
in between light and dark
peace and love
joy and pain
life and death
Unknown and the known
If you must live there, let me be
I trust
I wait
When everything collapses to nothing,
I will find you when there is nothing to find
