There are some things that readers can’t do without: books (duh), copious amounts of coffee or tea, sturdy bookshelves, and, of course, bookends. The uninitiated in the ways of the reader might wonder: why would you need bookends when you already have bookshelves? To that I say: readers who prefer physical books often have too many for them to fit in bookshelves. Our books breach containment, somehow forming piles on nightstands, desks, beds, and sometimes (please don’t judge) floors. We need to keep them from taking over our entire homes. Death by book avalanche, however fitting, sounds like an unpleasant way to go.
There are all manner of bookends out there: simple and elegant, fun and whimsical, even ones that are inspired by beloved stories. In this post, you will find all of the above, from minimal but beautiful personalized bookends to Pride and Prejudice-inspired ones. Plus, there are dragons and Argonath for the fantasy-minded. Whatever your interests are, you will find something to fulfill them here. No need to thank me for saving you from the book avalanche, by the way. Happy reading and bookending!
