Did you know you can add custom lock screen wallpapers to your Kindle? Because I sure didn’t. I’ve had a Kindle for years, and it’s always shown off that same rotating cast of black and white lock screen images. Those are fine, don’t get me wrong; I’m mostly there to get right down to the reading anyway. But now you’re telling me I could’ve had something cuter as the background this whole time? Not only that, you can apparently unlock a feature that shows off the cover of whatever book you’re currently reading on certain Kindle devices. Alas, my Kindle seems to be too old for that little trick, but believe you me, I’ll be enviously admiring all the ones that aren’t!
That got me thinking—what else could I do to make my Kindle a little more cute and custom? Turns out, a lot. Even if you have an older device like mine, or another ereader entirely, there are all sorts of ways to get your preferred reading device to match your aesthetic. I’ve turned to one of my favorite online retailers, Etsy, and found all sorts of cute bits and bobs to zhuzh up your ereader. I’ve seen the girlies covering their water bottles and Kindles in stickers, now I raise you ereader grips, custom backgrounds, and ereader skins.
