The Bodyguard by Katherine Center

Format: ARC, Audiobook Buy on Amazon Goodreads Back in 2022, when I first read The Bodyguard by Katherine Center, I actually wrote in my review that I could easily see this book being adapted into a movie because it would make the perfect rom-com. Well, look at that! Here we are in 2026, and it’s happening! With the movie adaptation, Guarding Stars, coming out soon, this book is getting some renewed love, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve read all of Katherine Center’s books, and they are always a win for me. One thing I’ve noticed is that her books tend to follow a similar formula. There’s usually some sort of drama or tragedy, two characters are thrown together, and you just know there’s a match waiting to happen. So, was I surprised by how this story progressed? Not really. But that’s perfectly fine with me because I love how she writes! Our leading lady, Hannah Brooks, is a protection agent (aka bodyguard), and life hasn’t exactly been kind to her lately. Her mother has just passed away, and as if that weren’t enough, her boyfriend dumps her the day after the funeral. Oh, and did I mention he also works with her? Super fun, right?!
