February may be short, but this list of Book Club selections is not! Whether you enjoy scanning book lists, want to see what books people will be talking about, are looking for your next read, or want to collectively read a book, February’s picks have something for everyone—and every book club offers a virtual component. Plus, we have two new book clubs: one for Gen-Z and one by journalist Katie Couric.

You can read a horror novel with a cheeky nod to a blockbuster romcom or a classic novel that starred in a Friends scene. There are also two novels in verse, a collection of short stories, George Saunders’s new novel, and a psychological thriller. Plus, there are romances for the month of love and a “did she murder her exes” crime novel for the opposite kind of mood. Whatever your reading mood is, you can’t go wrong with these selections!

About the book club: Dawnshaeé Reid is a self-proclaimed eclectic blogger who created this book club with Black authors as a priority. It aims to highlight a wide range of genres. There’s an in-person, once-a-month meeting option if you’re in Louisville, KY, and a virtual option that meets on the last Tuesday of every month.

What Eclectix The Book Club said about the book: “During a season that love is going to be in the air, I wanted to make sure we took the time to pour love back into ourselves with a novel that examines self-love and how the ways in which we radically love ourselves can be passed down from generation to generation. This novel is also written in-verse, which I think will make for a profoundly interesting read.”
