July is coming in hot, literally (go away, heat waves!) and figuratively, as a bunch of great book clubs have announced what they’ll be reading and discussing this month. These book clubs have unique focuses, which means they offer a wide variety of selections. Plus, all these book clubs are virtual in some way, and most end with a discussion or have an author chat.
If you’re looking to join one of these bookish communities, or solo read your favorite picks, July’s book club selections offer a range from sci-fi horror to a narrative nonfiction by a Pulitzer Prize-winner. There’s also a novel questioning our views on family, a near-future setting that feels current, a novel set in an Albanian village, a suspense novel about a deadly love triangle, a tight-knit group in a small seaside town with an outsider disrupting the balance of things, and more!
