Find Scary Good Reading with October’s New Horror Book Releases

October and horror reading go together like cheese and crackers, like peanut butter and jelly, and like garlic and bread vampires. While every month brings with it an array of scary good reads, October’s new horror releases are always among the most anticipated. With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, you can give yourself a little extra time between tricks and treats to read down that ever-growing TBR. It’s not only a fantastic month for reading if you love all things creepy and kooky. There are numerous great horror flicks to catch in October, too, including the brand new Carrie series from Mike Flanagan. That new spin on Stephen King’s classic will stream via Prime on October 7. You can also catch Other Mommy, based on the novel Incidents Around The House by Josh Malerman, in theaters beginning October 9.
