News From DC and Marvel
- Remember how DC cancelled Red Hood after the writer expressed a perfectly legitimate opinion about a dead transphobic person? Well, the first issue of that series is now going for hundreds on eBay. Get ’em while you can, I guess!
- David “Superman” Corenswet is now modeling for Banana Republic, which I frankly would not care about at all if a dog was not also part of the campaign (scroll to the last two pictures!)

- The Peanuts cartoons will continue to stream exclusively on Apple TV+ until at least 2030. The announcement came just as the world was celebrating the 75th anniversary of the strip’s debut on October 2, 1950.
- Fans of Afterlife with Archie should be pleased to know that the zombie-rrific comic book series will soon be a live-action TV series as well.
- A Texas comic book store has stopped selling Dragon Ball Z for fear of running afoul of the state’s very broadly worded prohibition against AI-generated child porn.
- Comics Beat interviewed writer Gene Luen Yang about what it was like taking over as the writer on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and his own long-standing affection for the franchise.
- Oni Press and the Flux House imprint have struck a deal whereby Oni gets the rights to multiple Flux House comics as well as new comics that creator Matt Kindt produces in the future.
