If you loved Brynne Weaver’s Ruinous Love trilogy, then good news! The author has a new book out this week! And you can read an excerpt of it right now. Intrigued? Tourist Season hit shelves this week, and it’s already getting a lot of buzz. According to Abby Jimenez, “Tourist Season is everything I loved about The Ruinous Love Trilogy and MORE – MORE murdery arts and crafts, MORE spice, MORE plot twists, MORE serial killers per capita than any town should ever have and I’m SO here for it.” And Ali Hazelwood said, “Brynne Weaver has a unique knack for creating characters and settings that are at once hilarious and dark, chilling and charming!”

Chloe Zhao’s Hamnet has won the audience award at the Toronto Film Festival. The film, starring Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley, is based on the novel Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell. If you’re looking forward to seeing this one, mark your calendars. Hamnet comes to a limited number of theaters in November, and it will get a wide release on December 12.
