If you’re looking for the ultimate summer rom-com, Till Summer Do Us Part by Meghan Quinn is an absolute must-read. It’s laugh-out-loud funny, irresistibly charming, and packed with some of the best banter I’ve read all year.

Scottie Price has just landed a new job—and it’s a real sausage fest. She’s the only woman on a team full of Brads and Chad (yes, literally), and in a desperate attempt to fit in and impress her boss, she blurts out a lie about having a husband. Unfortunately, eagle-eyed Chad catches the missing wedding ring detail, and things spiral fast. When her boss suggests a counseling session with her own husband, Scottie has no choice but to double down on her lie.

Frantic, she calls in help from her best friend, who sets her up with his brother. Enter Wilder Wells. He’s improv-obsessed, filthy rich, and more than willing to play fake husband for a day—or eight. That plan backfires hilariously when Wilder volunteers them for an eight-day summer marriage camp… with all of Scottie’s coworkers. Cue the forced proximity, cabin-sharing, and slow-burn chemistry.

This was one of my absolute favorites of the summer. The fake dating and forced proximity tropes are always a win for me, and Quinn nails it here. The banter between Scottie and Wilder is some of her best—fast, flirty, and genuinely funny. I found myself laughing out loud more times than I could count.

But what makes this story stand out is how Quinn weaves in more serious themes with a light touch. While the setup is outrageous in the best way, the emotional moments land just as well as the humor. The balance between heartfelt and hilarious is part of what makes Quinn’s writing so addictive.

Till Summer Do Us Part is one of my top reads of the summer, and if you love a funny, flirty romance with depth, it deserves a spot on your TBR immediately.
