The Bestselling Books of the Week, According to All the Lists

The bestsellers this week include a couple of new releases appearing on this list for the first time: What to Cook When You Don’t Feel Like Cooking: Make It Fast by Caroline Chambers and The Butcher Legacy by Alaina Urquhart. We also have some returning favorites—books that fell off the bestseller lists in recent weeks, but have climbed the ranks again: The Wedding People by Alison Espach and Carl’s Doomsday Scenario by Matt Dinniman. This list continues to lack diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers and Independent Press bestsellers you should know about are Death Card by Jasmine Smith, Cool Machine by Colson Whitehead, and Assata: An Autobiography by Assata Shakur. Assata: An Autobiography is a 1988 title that has renewed attention this year following the death of the author.
