This week’s bestseller lists are reporting on sales from the end of December, a time when very few books are published. So it’s no surprise that most of the books here are familiar titles. Only one hasn’t appeared on this roundup in previous weeks: The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins, who you may know from her podcast. This new self-help book was—puzzlingly—published on December 24th.

This list continues to have a lack of diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some other bestsellers you should know about are Heavenly Tyrant (Iron Widow #2) by Xiran Jay Zhao, Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar, and The Message by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

To get these numbers, we look at the USA Today overall top 10; Publishers Weekly overall top 10; The New York Times top 10, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts top 10, both Fiction and Nonfiction; and Indie Bestsellers top 10, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover. New additions to the list this week are bolded.
