So much of the way we live our lives and conduct business has been subsumed by the algorithms. Seriously, the other day I was trying to buy some bed pillows, and I was exhausted by looking online for something that you really need to handle to judge appropriately, and I thought to myself, I wish there was just like some PLACE where you could go and there’d be a bunch of pillows and you could compare them. For a millisecond, I literally found myself reinventing the store. (One old-fashioned note in Feed, by the way, is that you can detect that I myself am not fully able to shake the centrality of the mall as the place we go to buy. Now, of course, I’m nostalgic for malls!) Resisting the feed...
