Romance Authors’ Favorite Romance Novels

Autumn is the perfect season to get cozy with a bunch of good romance novels. When I’m looking for some new books to read, I love asking other romance readers for their favorite novels. It’s a great way to discover the amazing new romance novels coming out every week and the hidden gems from the genre’s deep backlist that I somehow missed. And do you know who reads a lot of romance novels? Romance writers! So I emailed 15 of my favorite romance novel authors (or their publicists, to be completely honest) and asked them to recommend three of their favorite romance novels. They could be new. They could be old. They could be any subgenre. All I asked was that they include a short description of why they loved these three books. I knew the answers would be good, but I didn’t expect them to be quite this good. There is everything from Jane Austen to Why Choose Omegaverse Western romance. Beverly Jenkins, Sherry Thomas, and Rebecca Kinkade all appear on the lists more than once (as they should). And some of the authors even name each other … something I didn’t plan or anticipate.
