Friday Videos are Really Pretty Badass

CW/TW – carnivore being a carnivore on camera in this video with gore, blood, hunting, dead animals. I can’t look at this video without thinking of Shelly Laurenston, honestly. I already love how, if I’m in the mood for some unhinged, violent, sexy, emotional, and funny paranormal romance, I can find any of Laurenston’s books and have a grand old time. I also love that beneath the mayhem are some serious and thoughtful questions for me: Call of Crows: I love that the Crows represent both rage at injustice and bone-deep acceptance. Who are my crows? Who are the women who always have my back, and for which of my friends can I be more of a crow? Shifter Panda!: What am I worried about that I really don’t need to think about? Why aren’t I spending more time in a tree, napping and eating snacks? (I don’t think I can digest bamboo, alas.) The Honey Badger Chronicles: “Where can I be more fearlessly, ferociously unabashed about taking care of myself? When can I more obviously, and fiercely not give a shit?” So while this is a Friday Videos post, it’s also a “I love Shelly Laurenston’s writing” post, which isn’t exactly news around here. …I think it might be time for a re-read. So, video? ...
