Historical Romance with Suspense is the genre for the new series: Di Stasio Giornaliste Agency. In Book #1, Eyewitness Sketch, we have an illustrative journalist covering a spring event with her fellow journalist. When the journalist is found murdered, Gabriella Salatino, must go into hiding after her life is threatened.
The best choice for her to lay low is the small town where she grew up. Her best friend from her childhood, Andri Jóhannsson, is one of two police officers there. In the past, their lives changed when Gabby left her childhood home. But, when she returns, one of the first people she meets is Andri.
Gabby’s life is in danger and Andri vows to protect her. In this sweet romance the story is wholesome, but Gabby must move into Andri’s home. This is the best place for her to hide and be protected . Andri is also busy working to capture bootlegging criminals.
Gabby is determined to not cause any more pain to Andri, and tries to prevent romantic feelings for him. The romance builds slowly and is the reader is hanging on to every word, experiencing all the suspense that the book brings.
If you love suspense and wholesome romance books, you’ll love this book. I’m looking forward to reading all of the series.
