How many books does a book blogger read in a year?
I don’t know about other book bloggers, but for me, when I’m asked how many books I read a year, I answer with around 200 books a year.
Or at least I used to. Nowadays, my number has dropped significantly and settled at about 120 books. This year I picked up 128 different books and finished 119 of them. I used to pride myself on finishing every book I ever started, until I realized I was only wasting my time for pride’s sake.

I read so many books, it can be hard to keep them all straight. When I compile my entire year together, I can see which genres I favored this year (Mystery & Thriller and Contemporary Fiction) and which ones I skipped (Classics and Nonfiction).
Sorry, but writing up descriptions on well over 100 books is not going to happen. Instead, enjoy my star rating of each book in my 2024 reading list, along with a short description.
