When I was a child, maybe 9 years old, I discovered Jules Verne's middle-grade fiction The Adventures of Captain Hatteras, and as I read, I was eager to absorb all the experiences of the main characters—how they survived the brutal environment of the North Pole and whether they managed to complete their expedition.
As a child, I deeply related to these fictional characters and rooted for them. But most importantly, I understood that I wanted to be one of them: exploring the depths of life and unraveling all its mysteries.
Life Lessons
Without doubts this is the most valuable post in my life. Life lessons are the ones we would want to share with our children and grandchildren, but we never really have the idea how.
Some people believe that the most important lessons in life are learned in childhood. However, life is long, and we constantly learn and evolve, even when we feel stuck. This is the kind of post that constantly evolves.
The most important lessons are those that are learned through experience. There are many different opinions on what the most important lessons in life are, but there are some lessons that are universally agreed upon.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.
–Martin Luther King, Jr.
This is my personal list, that I would want share with you readers. The points haven't got any ordering logic, I just added a number to make them easily referrable (I also added a category like tag later). The time I'm first writing these lines (at the age of 37) I found only 50+ of these lessons, but hence I still have time I will continue this journey to reach 100 life lessons and beyond.
What Are The Most Important Lessons In Life?
001 Life Lesson · Happiness · Material Things Don't Make You Happy, The People You Enjoy Them With (Friends & Family) Will Make You Happy
Owning more and more things won't make you happy. Sure, it's great to have a new car or fancy clothes, but those things don't necessarily mean true happiness. True happiness comes from the people in your life that you enjoy spending time with. Whether it's your family, friends, or partner, these are the people that will make you happy.
It's not about the material things in life, it's about the quality of your relationships. These are the people that will be there for you through thick and thin. They're the ones that will make you laugh when you're feeling down and help you celebrate your successes. So cherish the relationships in your life and let them bring happiness into your world.
002 Life Lesson · Wisdom · There Are Ups and Downs in Life, This is The Way How We Can Evolve
No one ever said that life was going to be easy. In fact, it's quite the opposite. Life is full of challenges and obstacles. There are times in life when we feel that everything we do will be successful and there are times when we simply fail no matter. These are all opportunities.
If we can learn to accept the ups and downs of life, then we will be much happier and more content. We need to remember that the good times wouldn't be as good without the bad times. Life is relative.
003 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Dreaming Big Is Good, but You Have to Find also The Way to Get There
In order to achieve great things in life, it's important to have big dreams and goals. However, simply dreaming is not enough – you also need to have a plan and take actionable steps towards achieving your goals. Success isn't happening overnight. This can seem daunting, but remember that even small steps can lead to big results over time. By taking the time to start walking the way and staying focused on your goals, you can increase your chances of achieving them, even when they seem impossibly big.
004 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Be Loyal to Those Who Are Loyal to You
You won't have too many real friends in life, because strong connections takes time to evolve.
In a world where it seems like everyone is out for themselves, it's important to be loyal to those who are loyal to you. Whether it's a friend, family member, or co-worker, these people have your back and you should have theirs.
Don't trust people you don't know in person, social media is just a channel, but people are much more, when you see and hear them. They are much more than their texts.
005 Life Lesson · Success · Perseverance and Grit Is 80% of Success
Success is not a destination but a journey. It's not about arriving at a certain point and then relaxing; it's about continuing to strive and grow. This is where perseverance and grit come in.
Perseverance is key when pursuing any goal. It's easy to give up when things get tough, but those who persevere are the ones who ultimately achieve success. Just check Michael Jordan's career. This doesn't mean that you'll never experience setbacks or difficulties, but it does mean that you'll keep going even when things are tough.
Grit is also essential for success. This is the quality of determination and resilience; it's what allows you to keep going even when things are tough. Pursuing any goal requires both perseverance and grit, so if you're lacking in either of these qualities, now is the time to start developing them.
006 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Balance Your Time Between Family, Friends and Work
In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to let work consume us. We are constantly connected to our jobs and clients, and it's hard to disconnect. However, if we don't make time for our friends and family, we will miss out important moments in our lives. And we can quickly get to the question “why I'm doing this?”.
Balance your time, get enough time for important events!
007 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Make a Decision You Won't Later Regret
Don't rush any important decisions, imagine that you are 10 years older and ask “Would you decide the same way as you do now?”
If the answer is yes, than you are good to go with your decision.
008 Life Lesson · Wisdom · First Impression is Important but not Almighty
First impressions are important, but they’re not everything. It’s important to pay attention to your gut feelings, but don’t let them rule your life.
Your first impression of someone is often based on their appearance. But looks can be deceiving. Just because someone is well-dressed and good-looking doesn’t mean they're a good person.
First impressions are important, but they're not the be-all and end-all. Get to know someone before you make up your mind about them.
009 Life Lesson · Spiritual · There Is No Such Thing As An “Accident”
When you accidentally meet somebody, it surely has a purpose. You may not know what that purpose is right away, but there is one. It could be something very simple as passing an information or you have something to learn form that person.
Whatever the reason may be, trust that it happened for a reason, be open and you will get the answer quickly.
010 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Other People's Negative Opinions Are Not About You, But About Them
A lot of people tend to think that when someone has a negative opinion about them, it's because there's something wrong with them. However, that's usually not the case. More often than not, when someone has a negative opinion about you, it says more about them than it does about you.
This connected to the mirror effect. When someone looks at you and sees something that they don't like, they're actually seeing a reflection of themselves. It's not that there's anything wrong with you, but that they're projecting their own issues onto you. We are trapped in our own biases.
011 Life Lesson · Success · Sometimes You Should Stop and Evaluate Whether You Are Where You Want To Be
Step out of your head sometimes, and see yourself as an outsider. You will discover things and understand where exactly want to be. This connects to all aspects of life including where you want to live, what you want to do as job or friends you are spending time with.
012 Life Lesson · Wisdom · If You Want To Really Learn Something, You Need To Get To The Point When You Are Able To Teach It
There are multiple stages of understanding things.
- First you can simply read it
- You can memorize it so you can recall it later
- Than comes the comprehension, the understanding
- This will enable you to apply your knowledge, and use it
- Finally you could teach your knowledge to others which will trigger to connect dots, which you had not recognized previously
013 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Never Mix Positive and Negative Feedback Together
Mixing vinegar with orange juice is akin to ruining the entire flavor, not just a portion of it.
Negative feedback should always be given separately from positive feedback. This is because when we try to mix the two, the positive feedback gets lost in the shuffle and the negative feedback stands out more. Furthermore, mixing positive and negative feedback can confuse the other person and make it harder for them to understand what they need to work on.
This point is extremely important when we give feedback to children.
014 Life Lesson · Wisdom · We Have Only One Home, which Is Called The Earth
We need to treat it like ourselves. We need to clean up the messes we've made, and be more conscious about the things we're doing that are causing harm. We can start making a difference by reducing our carbon footprint, recycling more, and using less water.
At the end of the day we can't leave without each other, since we are One.
015 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Humans Are Still Closer To Animals Than Rational Beings
We have important instincts like eating, drinking, having fun, sports and pleasure. Humans are constructed this way, just think about human hormones (dopamine, serotonin, endorphins, oxytocin etc.). Most of the people are basically chasing these things in their life. Better food, bigger car, more euphoria. Just think about how much people are spending on self-discovery courses compared to restaurants.
We are so deeply controlled by our biology, that we often make irrational decisions in order to achieve them.
016 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Talent and Genes Are Not Everything
If you have good physical ability and talent for certain sport, it's only half of the story. You need to build up your own success both physically and mentally.
Even if you are shorter than necessary, as Michael Jordan was at the beginning of his career. Standing at 6-6, he was considered small for a shooting guard, which is the position he played. Despite his size, he was able to achieve a great deal of success on the court. Jordan continued to improve each season. He won MVP honors in 1988 and 1991 and led the Bulls to their first NBA Championship in 1991.
017 Life Lesson · Spiritual · You often Find That You're Looking for When You Stop The Search
There is no doubt that every person has a dream partner. It is the one they are looking for. The one that they hope to find someday. But what if the convulsive will does not lead to the one you are looking for? What if, instead of finding your dream partner, you only find yourself chasing after an impossible dream?
It is easy to get caught up in the idea of a perfect partner. We see them in movies and TV shows, we read about them in books and magazines. They seem like they are within our reach, but they are always just out of grasp.
When you “stop” the search for your dream partner, you release only the unrealistic image in your head, and you give place for the real one to come in.
018 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Nothing is Granted In Life, Everything Could Change Almost Instantly
Everything could change immediately, whether it's a job, a relationship, or even your health. It's important to remember that while bad things can happen at any time, so can good things. So don't take anything for granted, and appreciate the good when you have it. Who knows what tomorrow will bring?
019 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Would You Like To Change Something in Life? Make a Habit!
We all have something we would like to change in our lives. Whether it’s our weight, we want to read more, eat healthier, or simply we would like to improve something. But making lasting changes can be tough. The only way to make a change is to make a new habit.
- Start a reading Sunday from 2 to 3 pm
- Go to gym every Tuesday morning at 7 am
James Clear perfectly summarizes in his book how these simply habits have great impact in your life.
020 Life Lessons · Emotions · Visit Your Childhood Home and Places Frequently
Not everybody has a pleasant childhood unfortunately, but if you had, visit your childhood places and family frequently. The childhood room, a family member could have such a calming effect that you may hardly find in your mid-life. The good memories help to stop and recharge your empty batteries. Don't miss the opportunity of the reunion.
021 Life Lesson · Emotions · We Will Remember Only the Good Things
When we look back on our lives, it is somehow self-evident to remember the positive things. The happy moments with friends and family, the accomplishments we are proud of, the times when everything just seemed to go right. These are the memories that bring a smile to our face and make us feel good inside. They are the memories that we hold onto and cherish.
Do we really forget the bad things? We may still think about them occasionally, but they don't have the same power over us as they did when they happened.
There is no direct psychological research in this field that proved Fading Affect Bias 100%, but this is the way how our brain works.
022 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Remain Humble, Remain a Student (throughout Your Life)
No matter how much knowledge or experience you acquire, there is always more to learn. This is what should keep us humble and down to earth. It is also what allows us to be open-minded and continue growing as individuals.
If we become too arrogant and think we know everything, we close ourselves off from new opportunities to learn. We may think we are better than others and stop listening to their advice. This can lead to big mistakes being made. It is important to stay humble so that we can keep learning and growing throughout our lives.
023 Life Lesson · Emotions · Fear Gives Bad Advices But Ensures To Stay Safe
Fear is an emotion that gives bad advice. It tells us to stay away from what's new, different, and uncertain. Fear tells us to hold on to the familiar, even if it's not working for us.
But fear is not always a bad advisor. Sometimes, it can help us stay safe. For example, if we're afraid of heights, we'll avoid dangerous situations like cliff-jumping.
So what's the problem with fear? The problem is that fear doesn't know when you should act brave. It can keep us from taking risks that could lead to good outcomes – like starting a new business or going on a first date.
024 Life Lesson · Wisdom · When You Give More, You Get More
In today's society, it's easy to get caught up in the idea of always needing more. Whether it's more money, more stuff, or more attention, we often find ourselves wanting things that we don't have. But what if instead of always trying to get more, we focus on giving more?
It may sound counterintuitive, but studies have shown that when we give more of ourselves – whether it's our time, our energy, or our resources – we actually end up getting more in return. Not only do we feel happier and more fulfilled when we give to others, but we also create a ripple effect of positivity that comes back to us in many different ways.
So the next time you find yourself wanting something that you don't have, take a step back and think about how you can give more instead.
025 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Forgive Even If It's Hard To Let It Go
One of the most important is learning how to forgive. Forgiveness has many benefits, both in the short term and the long term. In the short term, forgiveness can help reduce stress and anxiety, and can also lead to improved physical health. In the long term, forgiveness can improve your relationships and help you live a more positive and fulfilling life.
Forgiveness is not always easy, but it’s worth it. Remember your anger is temporary and will go away sooner or later, why not to choose to overcome sooner?
026 Life Lesson · Success · Pleasing Everyone Is a Bad Goal Be Proud Of Your Own Work
When I was young I heard a sentence from Steve Jobs in one of his speeches which sounded “If you want to make everyone happy, don’t be a leader, sell ice cream“.
People are different and there are also people who simply couldn't be pleased no matter. But never take these feedbacks personal, these aren't about you.
If you figure out a services or you are doing your daily job, always remember to do your best. Taking pride in our work is one of the most rewarding aspects of life, but this feeling always comes from inside and not from bosses.
027 Life Lesson · Success · Be An Early Bird
Being an early bird means multiple things. To be an early bird means to wake up before everyone else and start your day. It helps to be productive and get things done.
It also means to have a positive attitude toward to new possibilities, try them out first! Give them a chance and they may reward you later on!
028 Life Lesson · Success · Failure and Victory Are Separated Only By Faith
Faith can lead to success, maybe it's not the only ingredient, but an important one.
Many people give up when they face failure because they lack faith. They see failure as the end instead of a stepping stone to success. On the other hand, people who have faith see failure as an opportunity to learn and grow.
People with faith know that there is no such thing as failure, only feedback.
029 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Embrace Change and Adaptability
Change is inevitable in life. It can be uncomfortable and challenging, but it's important to embrace it and be adaptable. The world is constantly evolving, and we must learn to adjust and grow with it.
Being open to change allows us to explore new opportunities, learn new skills, and experience personal growth. It helps us break free from our comfort zones and discover new possibilities. Embracing change also helps us navigate through unexpected circumstances and challenges with resilience and grace.
Remember that change often brings growth and new experiences. Instead of resisting it, try to embrace it with an open mind and a willingness to adapt. By doing so, you'll be better equipped to handle whatever life throws your way.
030 Life Lesson · Success · Take Risks and Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
Growth and progress often require taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone. It's easy to stick to what's familiar and safe, but that can also lead to stagnation and missed opportunities.
Taking risks doesn't mean being reckless or impulsive. It means being willing to embrace uncertainty and face challenges head-on. It means being open to new experiences and pushing past your self-imposed limitations.
Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder of Facebook, firmly believes in the value of taking risks. According to him, “The biggest risk is not taking any risk. In a world that's changing quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks.” For Zuckerberg, playing it safe and avoiding risks is a recipe for failure in a rapidly evolving world. He recognizes that taking calculated risks is necessary for personal and professional growth, pushing boundaries, and achieving success.
Similarly, Richard Branson, the founder of Virgin Group, echoes the importance of taking risks. Branson emphasizes the significance of stepping outside of one's comfort zone and embracing new challenges. According to him, it is through venturing into the unknown that individuals can experience personal and professional growth. Branson believes that by pushing boundaries and being open to risks, one can unlock their full potential and seize opportunities that lead to greater success.
031 Life Lesson · Happiness · Practice Self-Compassion and Self-Care
Self-compassion and self-care are essential for your overall well-being and happiness. My grandfather always said that “Health is everything”, and maybe not everything but an essential must have.
Practice self-compassion by acknowledging your strengths and accepting your flaws. Be gentle with yourself when you make mistakes or face challenges. Treat yourself with love and respect, and prioritize your own needs and well-being.
Self-care goes hand in hand with self-compassion. Take time to nurture and care for yourself physically, emotionally, and mentally. Engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Set healthy boundaries and prioritize rest and rejuvenation. Remember that taking care of yourself is not selfish, but necessary for your overall happiness and ability to show up fully for others.
032 Life Lesson · Happiness · Be Mindful and Live in the Present Moment
The present moment is all we truly have. Practicing mindfulness involves being fully present and engaged in the here and now, without judgment or attachment to the past or future.
Mindfulness helps you cultivate a deeper appreciation for the present moment and experience greater joy, peace, and clarity. It allows you to fully engage in your activities, connect with others on a deeper level, and make conscious choices that align with your values.
According to the Dalai Lama, “There is only one time that is important – now! It is the most important time because it is the only time when we have any power.” His teachings highlight the significance of embracing the present moment fully, as it is the only time in which we can truly take action and make a positive impact on our lives and the lives of others.
033 Life Lesson · Happiness · Quality Over Quantity
It's not about how much time you spend, but the quality of that time.
In a world that often glorifies busyness and packed schedules, this saying serves as a reminder that the true value of time lies not in its quantity, but in how effectively and meaningfully it is used.
034 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Closure is Necessary
Sometimes, attending a funeral or memorial service brings necessary closure.
These ceremonies serve as a communal experience where grief can be shared and support can be found, helping individuals process their emotions and come to terms with their loss. The rituals, whether religious or secular, provide a framework for expressing sorrow, celebrating the deceased's life, and acknowledging the reality of death. In doing so, they help pave the way for emotional healing and acceptance, allowing people to move forward with their lives while cherishing the memories of those they have lost.
035 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Material Things Don't Matter
In the end, it's not about what you own but who you've touched. Material possessions may offer temporary satisfaction, but they lack the enduring value of meaningful relationships and positive impact on others. The true measure of a life well-lived is often gauged by the love you've given and received, the lives you've enriched, and the legacy of kindness and understanding you leave behind.
036 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Death Isn't the Ultimate End but a Transition
For some, death is not the end but a transition, a crossing over into another form of existence that we may not fully understand. While the material world offers tangible evidence of our reality, the belief in a spiritual dimension doesn't necessarily lack logic or reason.
Whether rooted in religious doctrine or a more general sense of spirituality, the idea that our physical form is not the sole manifestation of our being offers comfort and hope to many.
It suggests that our connections, our consciousness, and perhaps even our souls continue in some way beyond the limitations of our earthly lives.
This perspective can provide a profound sense of peace and purpose, encouraging us to live in a manner that honors not just our physical existence, but also the unseen, intangible aspects of our being.
037 Life Lesson · Happiness · Share Stories
Storytelling serves as a bridge between the past and the present, allowing new generations to connect with those who came before them. Whether it's recounting a funny anecdote, a life lesson, or a moment of inspiration, these narratives encapsulate the essence of the person, preserving their character and values.
Sharing stories not only keeps the memory of the deceased vibrant but also creates a communal space for collective remembrance and emotional support. In this way, the act of storytelling becomes a form of emotional inheritance, passing down wisdom, love, and a sense of identity that can be cherished for years to come.
038 Life Lesson · Happiness · Happiness is an Inside Job
Many people look for happiness in external factors like wealth, relationships, or career success. While these can contribute to your well-being, true happiness comes from within. Learning to be content with who you are and appreciating your own value are key steps in finding lasting happiness.
039 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Actions Speak Louder
Words are important, but actions define you. Consistency between what you say and what you do builds trust and integrity, both crucial for a fulfilling life.
Actions serve as the tangible proof of your commitments, revealing your true priorities and values. When your actions align with your words, you not only gain the trust and respect of others, but you also achieve a sense of self-integrity that is deeply satisfying. This congruence creates a foundation for meaningful relationships, successful endeavors, and a life lived authentically. In the end, it's not just about talking the talk, but walking the walk that shapes who you are and how you are remembered.
040 Life Lesson · Success · The Importance of Failure
Failure is not the opposite of success; it's a part of it. Each failure is a lesson, a stepping stone that brings you closer to your goals.
Each failure is a lesson, a stepping stone that brings you closer to your goals. Embrace failure as a teacher, not as a mark of inadequacy or a reason to give up. When you fail, you gain invaluable insights into what doesn't work, allowing you to refine your approach and make more informed decisions moving forward. Rather than viewing failure as a setback, see it as an opportunity for growth and learning. The most successful people are often those who have failed multiple times but have used those experiences to adapt and improve. By adopting a mindset that values failure as a form of education, you not only increase your resilience but also pave the way for future successes.
041 Life Lesson · Happiness · The Pursuit of Happiness Makes You Unhappy
Constantly chasing after happiness as a goal can make you miss out on the joy in the present moment.
The irony of fixating on happiness is that it often leads to a cycle of dissatisfaction, as you're always looking ahead to some future state where you believe happiness resides. This relentless pursuit can blind you to the simple pleasures and meaningful experiences that are available to you right now. Instead of enjoying the journey, you become preoccupied with reaching a destination that keeps moving further away. By shifting your focus from the pursuit of happiness to the appreciation of the present, you open yourself up to a more authentic and sustainable form of contentment.
Happiness, then, becomes not something you chase, but something you discover along the way.
042 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Friendships Need Maintenance
Like any relationship, friendships require effort. Regular check-ins, quality time spent together, and acts of kindness keep the friendship strong.
Neglecting these aspects can lead to a gradual drift, making it important to actively nurture the bond you share.
043 Life Lesson · Happiness · Celebrate Each Other's Success
A true friend will be happy for you when you succeed, without jealousy or competition.
Genuine friendship is rooted in mutual respect and a desire to see each other thrive. When you succeed, a true friend celebrates your achievements as if they were their own, taking joy in your happiness and growth. There's no room for envy or one-upmanship; instead, your success becomes a shared celebration that strengthens the bond of friendship. This kind of selfless support creates a safe space for both parties to strive for their goals, knowing that they have someone in their corner cheering them on. In a world where competition can often overshadow camaraderie, having a friend who genuinely rejoices in your accomplishments is a rare and invaluable gift that enriches both your life and theirs.
044 Life Lesson · Happiness · Sexual Health is Part of Overall Health
Your sexual well-being is intertwined with your overall physical and emotional health.
For some, a fulfilling sexual life might involve regular intercourse and the exploration of fantasies, while for others, it might mean focusing on emotional intimacy and connection without a strong emphasis on sexual activity. What's most important is that your sexual activities and desires align with your personal values.
045 Life Lesson · Happiness · Intimacy Goes Beyond the Physical
While sex is a physical act, the emotional and psychological aspects of intimacy are equally important. Emotional connection often enhances the sexual experience.
Emotional connection can deepen the level of trust and openness between partners, allowing for a more meaningful and satisfying sexual encounter. It's not just about the mechanics of the act, but also about the shared vulnerability, communication, and mutual respect that elevate the experience from mere physicality to a deeper emotional bond. In fact, for many people, the most memorable and impactful sexual experiences are those where there is a strong emotional connection, underscoring the idea that true intimacy goes far beyond the physical realm.
046 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Comparison is the Thief of Joy
In a world fueled by social media, where curated lives are displayed for all to see, it's easy to fall into the trap of comparing our own journey, achievements, or possessions to those of others. This comparison often leads to feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, or discontent, overshadowing our own accomplishments and the things that bring us joy.
047 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Self-Exploration is Important
Understanding your own body, desires, dreams and boundaries makes you a better, more attentive person.
When you take the time to explore your own needs and limitations, you gain a deeper sense of self-awareness that allows you to navigate life's challenges more effectively. This self-knowledge empowers you to communicate more openly and honestly, both with yourself and those around you. It fosters emotional intelligence, enriches your decision-making, and ultimately leads to more fulfilling relationships and experiences.
048 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Justice Requires Active Engagement
Justice doesn't happen passively. It requires active engagement from individuals and communities.
Whether it's standing up against unfair treatment, speaking out against systemic issues, or advocating for those who can't, justice demands action. Complacency or indifference can perpetuate injustice, making it crucial to be proactive in seeking fairness and equality.
049 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Fairness is Not Always Equality
While the terms are often used interchangeably, fairness and equality are not always the same thing. Justice sometimes requires recognizing the unique circumstances, needs, or disadvantages of individuals or groups and acting accordingly. This might mean providing additional resources or support to those who need it most, rather than distributing resources equally but inadequately.
050 Life Lesson · Wisdom · The Law is Not Always Just
Maybe you know the story of Scottsboro Boys.
In 1931, nine African American teenagers, known as the Scottsboro Boys, were falsely accused of raping two white women on a freight train in Alabama. Despite a lack of evidence and inconsistent testimonies, they were hastily tried and eight were sentenced to death, while the youngest received life imprisonment.
The Scottsboro Boys case is a rough example of how the law can fail to deliver justice. Despite the lack of evidence and the inconsistencies in the accusers' stories, the legal system was initially more influenced by racial prejudice than by the pursuit of justice.
051 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Embrace Simplicity
True wisdom and peace are found in simplicity, not in accumulating more complexity or possessions. Simplifying your life can lead to deeper fulfillment.
052 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Wisdom Comes from Experience
Wisdom is not merely knowledge but lived experience. Engage deeply with life to gain insights that transcend intellectual understanding.
053 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Find Joy in Every Challenge
Challenges are essential for growth. Embrace them with a positive mindset, seeing them as opportunities to become a stronger and wiser individual. Joy is part of openness, if you see challenges as puzzles or games, they are easier to solve, and you will gain more insight into the solution.
054 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Illusion of Control
Realize that much of what we try to control is beyond our grasp. Surrendering the illusion of control allows you to live more freely and respond to life’s changes with grace.
055 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Align with Your True Self
Your true self or inner self is the consciousness behind your thoughts and actions. Aligning with it means acting from a place of deep inner truth and authenticity, rather than external expectations and ego.
Our True Self has a deeper life plan, a map of life experiences, that we may face if we accept the truth that we are more than just physical bodies. These opportunities will open once we are in connection with our True Self.
056 Life Lesson · Spiritual · See Beyond Duality
Life often presents choices in terms of duality (right/wrong, good/bad). True wisdom lies in transcending this duality and seeing the interconnectedness and unity in all things. Reality is richer than this, it’s more flexible and fluid.
057 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Nurture a Sense of Wonder
Maintain a sense of wonder and awe towards life. This openness to the mystery and beauty of existence can lead to a deeper appreciation of the world around you. Changing your mind, will change they way you perceive your environment.
058 Life Lesson · Happiness · Small Acts of Kindness Matter
I would say only small things that matter! Simple gestures like a smile, holding the door, or a kind word can significantly impact someone's mood and create a ripple effect of positivity.
059 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Curiosity Drives Learning
There is no doubt that curiosity is in our vein. Asking questions and exploring new ideas can lead to personal growth. But the right question comes from the curios mind, we need to unleash our curiosity and not setting any barrier in front of the questions we are interested.
060 Life Lesson · Wisdom · The Power of Patience
When I was a small child, I often had to wait—wait for my cousins to come and play, wait for good things to happen, and wait to get what I wanted from my parents. Yes, I waited a lot in my life, but I believe there is a deeper meaning to it.
Waiting taught me to build up larger things patiently and to let things work in my favor in the background, even if I didn't see it directly. Waiting means, in a way, allowing things to happen, and yes, especially good things.
061 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Trust Your Inner Instincts and Intuition
I already wrote about first impressions, which are good but not almighty. But there are situations, when it feels like you inner instincts want to “whisper something”. If it happens multiple times, you should use them. Intuition provides valuable guidance, especially when making decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
You need to be in a state of calm to hear the right message you would get from yourself.
062 Life Lesson · Happiness · Don’t Fear Solitude
I'm introvert so it's almost obvious I do enjoy solitude, but honestly having time for yourself and for your activity, is a great thing! Spending time alone can be refreshing and help you understand yourself better, leading to greater independence.
063 Life Lesson · Wisdom · A Great Listener, You Must Be
The art of listening is essential to reveal greater meanings of life. If you and your ego always speaks you won't have time to think and let your mind work. Understanding others' perspectives fosters to discover wider truth not just your ego's truth.
When I do listen other people, I let their voice touch my mind, in a way I let other people in. This acceptance helps to step out of my restricted view, and opens new angle for my curious part.
064 Life Lesson · Spiritual · Tears Are The Gateway To Your Inner Self
I always wondered about the meaning of crying. Tears are so honest; they can’t be falsified by our ego (unless you’re an actor ☺️). They emerge from the deepest parts of our hearts, often beyond our control, revealing emotions that we might not even fully understand ourselves.
No matter whether these emotions are of joy, sorrow, or relief, they always coming from the deepest part of us, which is ultimately our inner self.
From a spiritual point of view, when we are in tears, it is a state of purity. In a sense, we are naked; no “costume” is on us. There is nothing to distort our connection with our inner self. In this state, messages may flow easily from our inner self to our physical mind.
065 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Value Your Health
My grandfather always said that health is very important. We only realize this when we lose it, hopefully only for limited time.
The things you eat and drink ultimately become part of your body. The time you spend on activities (like running, walking or doing exercises) shapes your body. There is no way for your body to stay healthy if your habits are against this. Of course, when you are young, everything heals faster, but your body isn't invincible, and many people learn this the hard way.
Eat healthy foods (it doesn't have to tasteless of course) and get 99% of the nutrition from real ingredients! Use organic supplements! Drink clean water and avoid sugary or sweetened beverages. And engage in regular exercise, pick one that isn't boring but motivating to you!
066 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Your Body (and Cells) Loses Its Ability to Regeneration Over The Years
Cellular senescence is the process where cells lose the ability to divide and function effectively. This happens naturally over time due to DNA damage, oxidative stress, or other cellular stresses. Telomeres are protective caps at the ends of chromosomes that shorten each time a cell divides. Once they become too short, the cell can no longer divide and becomes senescent or dies.
As we age, our body's natural ability to regenerate and heal diminishes, making it crucial to adopt preventive measures and a proactive approach to health. Use habits that support long-term health to mitigate the effects of aging and enhance your quality of life as you grow older.
067 Life Lesson · Wisdom · Capitalism's Vulnerability to Extremism
Capitalism, in its pursuit of profit, can inadvertently fuel extremism. As former Google CEO Eric Schmidt pointed out, algorithms designed to maximize revenue often prioritize content that generates the most engagement. This engagement is frequently driven by outrage, as sensational or extreme content captures more attention and keeps people hooked.
CEOs, in general, maximize revenue by maximizing engagement, and to maximize engagement, they maximize outrage. The algorithms choose outrage because it generates more revenue, leading to a bias that favors crazy stuff.
–Eric Schmidt
When profit becomes the primary goal, algorithms will favor “crazy stuff,” perpetuating a cycle where the most divisive and polarizing content thrives. This not only skews public discourse but can also deepen societal divisions, as people are increasingly exposed to extreme viewpoints.
Understanding this dynamic is crucial in our media consumption. Be mindful of the content you engage with and support media that prioritizes responsible, balanced perspectives over sensationalism. In doing so, we can mitigate the negative impacts of capitalism's drive for profit on our society and contribute to a healthier, more informed public discourse.

My profession is online marketing and development (10+ years experience), check my latest mobile app called Upcoming or my Chrome extensions for ChatGPT. But my real passion is reading books both fiction and non-fiction. I have several favorite authors like James Redfield or Daniel Keyes. If I read a book I always want to find the best part of it, every book has its unique value.
