11 of the Best Books Out in October

There really just are too many books coming out—highly anticipated books that are from well-established, bestselling authors and debuts alike. Before we get to the new books out this month, Screen Rant is inviting us to revisit an HBO adaptation of a singular, Shakespearean dystopian novel. They compare the Station Eleven miniseries to Apple TV’s Silo, claiming that the former is “the true post-apocalyptic masterpiece.” I love a bit of literary/media-based mess talking, and since I’ve seen neither, I’ll be adding one to my watch list. The question is which…or both? Is it possible to consume too much dystopian TV? After you ponder that, there is the matter of all the big October releases. I already know that the new Bonnie Garmus (Peck & Peck), V.E. Schwab (Victorious), and Sarah J. Maas (A Court of Splintered Harmony: The Valkyrie Cycle) are going to wear out the bestseller lists. There’s also new Freida McFadden (The Witch) and Walter Mosley (Hanging and Burning) for the mystery lovers.
