HAPPY MONDAY & HAPPY ALMOST JULY!!! It’s time for a list of books that just went live early, and there’s even one from one of my FAVORITE authors (Christine Zolendz) from back in our early indie days. <— So cool.
Three things:
1.) I ate my tiny heirloom tomato that I grew, and it was delicious. I turned it into a tomato sandwich (with some salt and pepper, and Hellman’s mayonnaise).
2.) My raised garden bed is in full swing, I have yellow, red & green bell peppers, one tiny hot pepper (can’t remember what it’s called but it already has a bunch on it), 2 more tomato plants, which I know I’m just wasting time on since it seems they need cooler weather for the pollen to work, but I’ll try again. Also 2 yellow squash plants, and a bunch of herbs. Also my husband put together this fun “greenhouse” tent for it (this one is very similar to the ones I have). We’ve only tented one side since my older tomato plants (the purple heirloom ones) are too tall for the tent. I think this winter, I’ll do the tomato plants in 5 gallon buckets instead, so I can have the whole raised bed for other veggies. 🥕 🥦 <— like these. 🙂
3.) It poured rain yesterday pretty much ALL afternoon, so I filled up 3 buckets full of rain and watered all of my patio plants with it. I wish I could show you all of my plants. They are SO pretty. Maybe one day I’ll make a photo album of them here on my blog for those who are interested. 😂 Do you guys have any hobbies (other than reading), that fulfills your creativity and makes you happy like plants me happy? Let me know!! I’m thinking of starting to draw or maybe even paint, again. I used to do it a lot back when I was in graphic design school.
